Articles published to your site are your property. Edit, republish, syndicate, monetize, or delete them - Mastheads retains no rights and requires no attribution.

Tenant identity is required on every data access, enforced by row-level security in the database itself rather than by application code remembering to filter. The engine verifies your session and that the domain is yours before it spends anything on your behalf, and no account's spend touches another's.

Every article carries a clean authenticity trace - the sources consulted, the fact-check and editorial reviews it passed, and the named editor behind it. Trust-building detail is surfaced; raw prompts, model names and internal scores never are. Trust you can show, not just claim.

There are two publish paths and they carry different duties, deliberately. When you press Publish, your review is the editorial act and the text carries no AI label - that is the Article 50 human-review position, and stamping your own edited work as machine output would misdescribe it. When a newsroom publishes unattended, nobody read it, so it carries both the machine-readable IPTC trainedAlgorithmicMedia marker and a visible disclosure. A generated image carries its own visible credit on either path.

A topic is tested against editorial standards before any research begins, so a subject your masthead should not touch never becomes an article - and you are told plainly that nothing was researched or written, rather than handed a draft you have to catch. Sourcing holds the same line: an accusation against a named private person needs two independent sources before it can reach a draft. Content governance that runs at the start of the work, not as a review at the end of it.
How an article is madeThe writer never sees the page it is working from.
Research is done by other desks, and the writer is handed the facts they found with the source attached to each one. It never receives the text of a source page, so an article is written from what was learned rather than from somebody else's sentences. Every finished piece is then measured against the pages actually read, so duplicate content does not reach your site - and the result of that measurement sits on the article itself, next to the source verification and the AI fact checking, for you to open.
How claims are checkedWe never take a picture off the open web.
Every cover image on a Mastheads article is drawn for that article. We do not scrape, search or reuse pictures from the web, so the rights question stock images create does not arise here. We also maintain a designated agent registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, with a published notice-and-takedown process for rights holders.
