Research reports: find what is worth covering, on demand
Topic research on demand: hand it a subject and it comes back with a report on what is worth covering - built from live sources it actually read, not from a model's recollection. A different thing from Find sources, deliberately: this finds you subjects you did not have; that finds sources for a subject you already have.
Pick one on the left - the evidence behind it opens here.
Deciding what to write next used to take me longer than the writing. Research reads live sources and what your site already ranks for, and hands you a report you can act on.
A report, not a feed
You ask, it researches, you get a report you can act on - each suggestion backed by what was actually read, so you can check the reporting before you commission anything.
Acting on a suggestion is the normal article flow: nothing is generated or spent from inside a report without your say-so.
Ground it in your own search data
Connect Google Search Console and Research can read what your site already ranks for, so its suggestions start from your reality rather than from a cold start.
On every paid plan
Research is included on Starter, Growth and Pro, with a monthly report allowance of 10, 50 and 100 - separate from your article allowance. The trial does not include it.
A monthly research scan, included
For a domain with its newsroom switched on and Search Console connected, on a plan that includes Research, a research report runs every month in the background. It is ours, not yours: it never spends your monthly report allowance, it appears on the Research page behind the same plan gate, and the newsroom reads its next-up topics as story candidates.
A trial or pay-as-you-go account gets no background scan.
